CIL & GE Transformation

Connection to CSUSB General Education

The CIL Lab supports the campus GE learning outcome for critical literacies, which states:

“The program… is a process whereby students… analyze the ways that information, including quantitative and technological, oral and written, both shape and are shaped by social contexts.”

The tutorials, assessments, and instructional resources highlight the social nature of information and, when integrated into meaningful assignments, lend impetus to classroom discussions, activities, and reflection about the information environment.
