Lecture: History of Water in the IE

The S.B. Bicentennial Lecture series returns with:

“The History of Water in the Inland Empire”
Wednesday, Oct. 13
Noon-1 PM
Pfau Library 4th floor, PL-4005 (Special Collections)
Presenter: Suzie Earp

Bring your lunch and come learn something interesting about the IE!

The lecture will be about the early history of water use and water development in the inland area. Although it concentrates on the San Bernardino area, it also includes Riverside, Redlands, Ontario and San Bernardino Mountain water history. It covers everything from recreational use, bottled water, the Clean Water Act the State Water project, and everything in-between.

Suzie Earp is Historian Archivist for the Water Resources Institute. Suzie has worked for seven years at the WRI and loves her job. Don’t ask her about floods because she has entirely too much to say about the subject. In 2009 she and Dr. Joyce Hanson published the history of San Bernardino Community Hospital.
