Group Study Rooms 411

Student with booksIt’s finals time again…Does your group need a place to study? The library has 12 group study rooms; the majority are on the 3rd and 4th floors. Check the Map of Group Study Rooms (PDF).

Our two newest rooms (5th floor, old side, north end; and 4th floor, behind old side elevators) are designated “Multi-Group Study.” They each have three tables in order to accommodate more than one group, so you must be willing to share!

Most rooms are first come, first served. However, two rooms on the 3rd floor (to your left as you exit the old-side elevators) can be reserved ahead of time. Find out more on our Group Study Rooms page.

Things to know:

  • A single individual cannot “hold” a group study room for when the rest of the group arrives. If you’re in a room alone and a group arrives to use the room, the group has the right of way.
  • Noise carries easily in the library! If your group is studying at a table in an open area, your conversations may disturb other students who are trying to study quietly.
