Mr. Gomez places a high value on education. His lifelong mission is to enhance the quality of education and offer encouragement to all students, particularly Hispanic students.

Among Mr. Gomez’s wide-ranging concerns are: the value of preschool to college education opportunities; the expansion and delivery of social services within Hispanic communities; the encouragement of the Hispanic community to become involved in volunteerism, political, and socio-economic endeavors; and the collaboration of community groups working towards mutual goals and objectives.

Mr. Gomez is the recipient of 83 congressional, state, county, city, and organizational resolutions, including three lifetime achievement awards for his six decades of accomplishments.
