Star Wars Display

Star Wars movie posterLong, long ago in a galaxy far, far away…

“Luke, you can destroy the Emperor. He has foreseen this. It is your destiny. Join me, and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son.”

George Lucas released the first Star Wars film in 1977. With each new film, the fan base grew larger. Whether you were an adult or a child when you first encountered the series that has become a part of our cultural heritage, you were swept away on an amazing journey through the galaxy where good and evil battled for supremacy.

The exhibit created by Library Administration student assistant, Brandy Montoya, takes advantage of the matching pair of display cases near the elevators to represent the split between good and evil.

Come see the exhibit and attend the lecture on May 4, 2011 from noon-1pm in PL-4005 to learn more about the phenomenon that is Star Wars.

And as long as you’re in the library, check out a Star Wars book! Click on the links to see the floors for the call numbers and other information:
