Charles McLeod’s critically acclaimed fiction includes the novel American Weather and the short story collection National Treasures. McLeod is the editor of the California Prose Directory: New Writing from the Golden State, which features poetry and fiction by California writers. McLeod’s work has appeared widely, including in The Pushcart Prize Anthology: Best of the Small Presses, the Norton anthology FAKES, and on Salon. A Hoyns Fellow at the University of Virginia, McLeod has received fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and San Jose State University, where he was a Steinbeck Fellow and served as director of the Center for Literary Arts.
