Book release with readings of fiction and poetry Nov. 21

Faculty Fiction and Poetry Reading + Student Open Mic
Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013: 6 p.m. in Pfau Library Special Collections (PL-4005)

Dear friends, please help spread the word! This Thursday’s reading will feature our new fiction professors May-Lee Chai and Felicia Luna Lemus with readings by all creative writing faculty, including: Juan Delgado, Julie Paegle, James Brown, Chad Sweeney, and other faculty authors such as Nancy Best, Paula Priamos, Deshea Rushing, and Kent Rogers from the English Department at CSUSB.

We are excited to celebrate the book release of May-lee Chai’s new novel, Tiger Girl, set in the Inland Empire! Professor Chai’s 8th book follows a Chinese-Cambodian family as it reunites in the Inland Empire after a long separation. We are also celebrating the release of Juan Delgado’s new book of poetry, Vital Signs, in collaboration with photographer Thomas McGovern, an exploration of San Bernardino’s resilient communities.

Afterward, there will be a student open mic reading of fiction and poetry!

We hope to see you there!
