Poets Joshua McKinney and Ruth Nolan: Thursday, Jan. 30, 6-9 p.m. Pfau Library 4005 (4th floor)

The CSU San Bernardino Visiting Writer Series
Welcomes poets JOSHUA McKINNEY and RUTH NOLAN!

Poet and CSU Sacramento professor, Joshua McKinney, and College of the Desert professor, Ruth Nolan (CSUSB alumna), will read with two of Professor Nolan’s creative writing students, Xan Abyss and Darlene Arciga.

Joshua McKinney (black-belt in karate and master swordsman) is touring with his new book of poems, Mad Cursive, which explores the meeting points between poetry and the Zen arts of calligraphy and sword fighting. Ruth Nolan, a local celebrity and alumni of CSUSB, will read from her poems of California deserts.

The poetry reading will be followed by an open mic – bring work to share! (two poems, or up to five minutes of any other literary work you have authored)

Thursday, January 30 at 6PM in Pfau Library room 4005 (The Special Collections Room on the 4th floor)

Hosted by the student editors of Pacific Review and Ghost Town Lit Mag.

We hope to see you there.
