2009, 99 min., written and directed by Max Mayer.
Hugh Dancy plays the lead, a sheltered and socially inexperienced electrical engineer who has Asperger’s syndrome. He strikes up a relationship with his new neighbor, Beth (Rose Byrne, best known for her role in Damages), fresh from her own breakup. He shares with her his fascination for astronomy and they gradually form a unique bond. Secondary (and unnecessary) subplot involving an insider trader scandal with her father detracts from the main plot. Charming and sweet indie film, which doesn’t provide the typical neat and happy ending. See the record for Adam.
