Warm Bodies

Four stars.

2013, 98 mins., written and directed by Jonathan Levine.

Adapted from the Isaac Marion novel of the same name, an introspective Zombie boy-meets-girl (but does not eat!) love story in a post-apocalyptic U.S., manages to be charming amidst the chaos of the mayhem. This is due largely to the chemistry between the two leads, R, played by Nicholas Hoult (About a Boy, Jack the Giant Slayer) and Julie, played by Teresa Palmer (The Grudge 2), a human survivor. Put this one squarely in the category of a guilty pleasure and summer popcorn flick! View the record for Warm Bodies.
