MySpace, facebook, Linkedln, Twitter and other Web-2.0 applications are the new trend of social networking tools loaded with all kind of neat features that allow individuals to constantly interact and exchange information with others. This presentation will provide a brief discussion of these new tools and the information security risks and threats associated with social networking.
Torner is the university information security officer at California State University, San Bernardino. Under his direction the CSUSB Information Security Office coordinates and oversees the implementation of enterprise information security initiatives for the university’s telecommunications network and computer and information systems, including the development and adoption of information security policies and standards. Torner is currently the president for the Information System Security Association Inland Empire Chapter.
