SAN BERNARDINO >> As the nearly 20,000 Cal State San Bernardino students returned to campus Thursday for the start of the fall quarter, they likely noticed a few changes to campus, including what it looked like as they pulled up.
At the front entrance of the school, students, faculty, staff and visitors now see a new “monument”-style sign, just in time for CSUSB’s 50th anniversary.
“This one is blue and white. They’ve built a little type of park around it,” university spokesman Joe Gutierrez said. “Across the street from it is a new marquee. … We find a lot of people use that to find out what’s going on on campus or just to remind them.”
Other big changes have come to the university’s John M. Pfau Library. Not only is it a place for students to study or work on homework, now it’s a place where all of them can take a break and recharge their cellphones between classes….. (continue article…)
