Wednesday, February 21st – Comic Book Expo!

The John M. Pfau Library at Cal State University, San Bernardino, will host a comic book expo on Wednesday, February 21st, 2018.  Everyone—students, staff, faculty, and members of the community—are welcome to participate in this free event.

The program runs from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in PL-5005, located on the fifth floor of the library.  Parking is $6 per day.

The Pfau Library has more than 3,200 comic books in our Special Collections, which include DC and Marvel superheroes, The Walking Dead series, Archie, and much more.

Some of the popular comic books will be on exhibit throughout the library.

We will have a costume contest with prizes, so come dressed as your favorite comic book character or hero.

James Knight, III, who served as a Pfau Library information archives specialist, will facilitate discussions on a range of subjects, including comic stories in the media, human themes in movies, cultural characters, science-based mysteries, and classic comedies.

Special guest, Javier Hernandez, cartoonist, art educator, and co-founder of the “Latino Comics Expo,” will take part in the discussions, conduct an interactive workshop, and sign autographs.

This is a great opportunity for comic book enthusiasts to meet and engage others with shared interests, and to learn about the wealth of comics material archived in the Pfau Library.
