The library's conference rooms and event areas may be reserved by CSUSB staff or faculty for CSUSB-related events. Non-CSUSB groups may be allowed to use the facilities for a nominal charge. CSUSB groups may schedule library conference rooms and event areas at no charge. However, if special set-up or labor by library staff is required, there will be a charge-back starting at $50.
Chartered CSUSB student organizations may be eligible to reserve library spaces; please contact Kamerin Bateman directly for additional information.
Before requesting a reservation, please consider whether your event is appropriate for an academic library setting, where many people will be quietly studying and reading. For alternative campus space scheduling options, contact University Event Scheduling (909-537-5236).
Scheduling requests are not final until confirmed via email.
Conference rooms PL-2007, PL-5005M are suitable for meetings of departments and groups.
The library's computer classroom, PL-2005, is used primarily for instruction sessions taught by librarians. However, CSUSB faculty may request use of the room by contacting the Coordinator of Library Instruction, Barbara Quarton (909-537-7553 or email@example.com). Please note that the room can only be reserved within 5 days of your desired date.
Special Event Areas
The library has one large event area:
- The Library Multimedia Center, PL-5005, which has a surround-sound, high-definition Blu-ray theater that seats 75.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in our conference rooms and special event areas provided you bring the items in yourself and clean up afterwards. Alcoholic beverages are allowed with proper permits from the University.
Make catering arrangements through Sodexo's CSUSB Dining Services.
If you plan to bring an outside vendor or caterer onto the property, that vendor will need to be approved by Sodexo. Please ask us for details.
